Guidance for adult facilitators

Help using Keystone

Find your way around the current early-access experience, prepare an activity, locate included resources, or ask a question.

Before you begin

Keystone is in limited early access. Its developing resources are made for adults to prepare and facilitate with care. Read the complete activity guide and material requirements before use, then decide whether the activity fits your role, setting, and participants.

Follow your organization’s requirements, adapt or stop when appropriate, and do not force participation or personal disclosure. Keystone resources do not replace professional counseling, clinical care, or emergency support.

Getting started

Prepare before you facilitate

Where should I begin?
Sign in with the adult account that received access, then choose one activity from the Dashboard and open its Study Guide. Read the guide’s orientation, materials, setup, facilitation sequence, and adaptations before first use. Prepare any required printouts or outside materials in advance.
What is the difference between Study Guide and Live Mode?
The Study Guide contains the fuller preparation and facilitation guidance. Live Mode is a shorter, in-session view that helps you stay oriented after you have already prepared. Live Mode is not a substitute for reading the guide first.
Are video walkthroughs available?
Video walkthroughs are planned but are not currently available. Use the written Study Guide as the preparation resource.
Resources

Find and use the included files

Where are my downloadable resources?
Open My Resources from the account sidebar. Files are grouped by the activities currently available to your account. Some activities include printable components or reference sheets; others rely mainly on the webguide and separately sourced materials.
Does Keystone provide every physical material?
No. Some activities require common objects or other materials that you source separately. Check the activity page and full Study Guide before use so you know what is included, what must be printed, and what must be obtained elsewhere.
A PDF did not download or print as expected. What should I try?
Check your browser’s downloads, save the file to your device, and open it in a current PDF reader. Review any printing directions in the file before printing. If the problem continues, tell Keystone the activity and file name, your device and browser, and what happened.
Using activities with care

Keep facilitator judgment in the room

Who are Keystone resources for?
The current experience is built around adults who prepare and facilitate activities with children, adolescents, families, or groups. An activity’s stated age range or setting is a preparation aid, not a promise that it is suitable for every person or context.
May I use an activity in my school, counseling, ministry, or community setting?
Keystone resources may be relevant in several adult-facilitated settings, but the website cannot determine whether a particular use is appropriate or authorized. Consider your role, qualifications, participants, and local or organizational requirements before use. Your invitation or access does not represent approval by your employer or organization.
What if an activity is not a good fit or someone becomes uncomfortable?
Adapt, pause, or stop. Do not treat participation, performance, or a response during an activity as proof of character, ability, diagnosis, or outcome. Follow the guidance and safeguarding or emergency procedures that apply in your setting, and seek appropriately qualified help when needed.
Account and contact

Get back in or ask a question

I cannot see an activity I expected. What should I do?
Confirm that you signed in with the email address that received access, then check the Dashboard and My Resources. If the activity is still missing, contact Keystone with the activity name and the email address on your account. Do not send your password.
How do I reset my password?
Use Forgot password and enter the email address associated with your account. Follow the reset link sent to that address.
What information should I leave out of notes, feedback, or support messages?
Keep messages focused on the resource or technical issue. Do not include participant names, identifying stories, diagnoses, school records, clinical notes, confidential family information, passwords, or payment-card details. Account notes are saved to your Keystone account until you delete them, so they should not be used for participant records.
Still need help?
